Dogs Rule! Well, perhaps just act like dogs. The .9 acre leash free dog park at Doyle Park was two years in the making and came about thanks to the efforts of many dedicated, energetic people. In February 2003 the Dog Park was officially opened with the first frisbee throw. |
The Dog Park at Doyle Park came into existence thanks to the tireless efforts of a number of people in front and behind the scenes. A dedicated group of dog owners collected enough money to pay for the initial grass seeding of what is now the dog park, to erect shade covers in both the large and small dog areas and solicited the donation of tables and benches now in the large dog park area. The dog park continues to improve and from the regular turns outs mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, there are a lot of happy dog owners.

Dog Park at Doyle Park is open 24 hours a day, there are no locks on the gates (except when periodic work, such as seeding, is being done in the dog park). People entering the Dog Park enter at their own risk. The dog park rules are posted at each entrance to Dog Park, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with these at your convenience to make yours and everyone's experience a safe and enjoyable one.
The Doyle Park Dog Park group (i.e, all dog owners and dog lovers!) has a number of areas and ways to communicate. Here in these pages is information about the park, upcoming events, people and animals as well as a smattering of useful information for dog owners. The group also has a Yahoo Group area for communications amongst the group members at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/doylepark. It's easy and free to become a member of this group. In addition to communications, the Yahoo Group members can share photos, dog links, view current and past messages and otherwise interact with other group members.
On this web site in these pages we have information about dog park, photos and videos from the park, information on the dog park electronic group on Yahoo, lost & found information, links relevant to dog lovers, and even information on dogs looking for a home.
